MACHINE FOR FILLING AND WEIGHING GAS CYLINDERS

Alongside we have a special system for automatic filling and weighing of gas cylinders. The machine is inserted in the customer's production line and was created to modernize the production line (revamping). The cylinders arrive inside the machine with a conveyor, are lifted and then their tare is detected. Once this first phase is completed, the gas inlet valves are opened for loading. The valves close once the preset charge weight is reached.


AUTOMATIC LID ORIENTATION GROUP

Below we have another example of a special automatic device. It is an automatic orientation system for lids inserted into the production line. The lids, once the processing is completed, are stacked so that the graphics are printed in the same direction. This automatic equipment is an improvement on an existing line (revamping).

REVAMPING AND MODERNIZATION OF EXISTING MACHINES

The process machines continue to operate for several decades, undergoing many changes in the plant and in the surrounding environment; thus there is often the need to introduce structural changes to allow the machine to continue to work in the new operating situation.

Typical examples of modifications that can be introduced on existing rotary machines are the following:

  • Changes to adapt to new operating conditions
  • Modernization of the components of the machine
  • Upgrading to new tecnology

  • CHANGES TO ADAPT TO NEW OPERATING CONDITIONS

    Very often the process plant are facing changes in their operating conditions. There are quite frequent changes in the raw material ( for examples the use of cheaper raw materials), the introduction of restrictions in the regulations on the final products or changes in the size of the product. The machinery must adapt to these new operational requirements and users need technical help for the necessary changes. Apiel Automation is able to support clients through all phases of the operation, from design to implementation.


    MODERNIZATION OF THE MACHINE

    In many cases the components of the machines such as the servomotors, special sensors or instrumentation undergo major technical developments during the life cycle of the machine and is often useful, and sometimes required, to apply these new technologies to existing machines. Our goal is to help users of the machines to update their equipment with the most advanced technology available at the time.


    UPGRADING TO NEW TECNOLOGY

    The old machines can be upgraded with the latest technologies to achieve higher performance in terms of power and availability. These objectives generally require replacement of parts of the old generation or the introduction of new systems that were not available when the machine has been designed.


    ELIMINATION OF “BOTTLENECKS”

    In some cases the productivity of a process plant is limited by a single component. Often this limit is the machine itself, that is the heart of the plant. Apiel Automation, with its design capability, has the tools to carry out feasibility studies and then the complete design to implement the most appropriate solution for adapting the machine and then allow the increase of the productivity of the entire plant.
