Apiel produces 9 types of Cartesian robots and 2 types of scara robots. Cartesian robots can be supplied in 3 different types:

  • Robot standard 2,3,4,5 or 6 axes
    • Light version with a payload of 5 kg at the wrist
    • Medium version, with a payload of 25 kg at the wrist
    • Heavy-duty version, with a payload of 50 kg at the wrist

CARTESIAN ROBOTS

Cartesian robots can be supplied in the following configurations:

  1. Supply base of only axes, with no motor, no electrical system and no sensors
  2. Machine as in step 1, plus support frame.
  3. Machine as in step 1 plus cabinet with PLC (Siemens, Omron or Mitsubishi) or CNC, operator panel touch screen 7 "color, motors, drives and sensors
  4. Machine as in step 3 and more software, command and control

The axes can be positioned independently, or can be interpolated (linearly, circularly or particular curves). The complex forms of interpolation are obtained with the use of axis cards.

Cartesian Robots: standard versions

The Cartesian robot in the standard version is sketched in figure beside. The machine can be supplied with any combination of axes. You can not use the robot as shown or rotated 90 degrees so as to have the vertical Y axis and Z-axis horizontal. The rotations U, W, and J, may be controlled by servo motors or, if you have only two positions, you can mount the pneumatic actuators. Transmissions are made with low-backlash planetary gearboxes. The motors can be Panasonoc or Danaher Motion.

Next shows a 4-axis robots used light series for the enslavement of a machine tool. The control system was built with a CNC.









Cartesian robots: compact versions

The Cartesian robot in the compact version is sketched in the figure. The machine can be supplied with any combination of axes. The rotations U, W, and J, may be controlled by servo motors or, if you have only two positions, you can mount the pneumatic actuators. Transmissions are made with low-backlash planetary gearboxes. The motors can be Panasonoc or Danaher Motion.









Cartesian Robots: gantry versions.

The Cartesian robot in the gantry version is sketched in figure beside. The machine can be supplied with any combination of axes. The rotations U, W, and J, may be controlled by servo motors or, if you have only two positions, we can mount pneumatic actuators. Transmissions are made with low-backlash planetary gearboxes. The motors can be Panasonoc or Danaher Motion. The Y-axis may have strokes particularly high in these cases, the displacement along the X axis is realized by means of a dual transmission of both runways.
